Greetings? Sorry I can't give you anything. I just got into Bruce in Dec. 1995
and saw my first four concerts this summer, two in NJ and two in Philly, one
9-25 which apparently is a classic show for all time. I'm looking forward to
reading the rest of the stories. A good site!! THANKS11

I got turned on to his music in 75 or 76 about the time Born to Run came out. I still think his first four albums are his best and they are on some of the best rock albums ever. Some of the bootleg live ones are very strong also.
I have always wondered about the song "Blinded by the Light" and the lyrics "wrapped up like a ______". What exactly is the word and what does it mean? I heard something on the radio once that it is a female dude, but I don't think that is correct
Please e-mail at email@example.com

I am unable to get into the stories connection, although from what little stories that have been told by bruce on the Live 75-85 album are both sad, interesting and inspiring for at the the end of the day it is my belief that both Bruce himself and his music are an inspiration to the average person.

Awesome Site! I've seen Bruce 3 times...most recently in 1999 during his 15 show stint in New Jersey. I was 8th row on the floor! By far, the best concert I have ever seen. (One of the best parts of the show was when he told a story about being invited back to him hometown to be honored at his elementary school. The song he wrote for the occasion was called "Freehold" and was a riot. Hope he releases it someday.) I enjoyed reading the various stories people have submitted and look forward to checking back for more!

Oh, and also....I have quite a few "bootleg" tapes (don't tell Bruce) that friends of mine made for me back in the 80's. Many of them have great stories on them from the Born in the USA period and earlier. I'll try and dig back through my cassettes and send you some. Quite a few are not on your site.

Keep up the good work.

Great site. I flew to Seattle and saw Bruce at the Tacoma Dome 4/4/00. It was the third time that I had seen him in concert. The first was in Kansas City in 1981 and the second was in Lincoln in 1984. the story about the pool table came up in the Lincoln concert but I remember that leading into "Pink Cadillac". I could be wrong. Anyway, the show in Tacoma was fantastic. One comment that I heard as we left that night was a woman who expressed disappointment at the lack of the typical stories that come in between songs. She was right, but it was only a very small downside to an awsome show. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for allowing us to express ourselves on this page. I've been a Springsteen fan since I was 12 (yes, a 12 year old listening to Bruce) in 1982. Thanks to my parents, the passion still runs. This page is great because it allows us each to express our memories which can be very individualistic. I've only seen Bruce 3 times but each time is very memorable. Once in 1996 (?), the Tom Joad tour, and twice on the rededication tour. Detroit Sept. 8 and Charlotte April 21. And yes, i took my mom with me to Charlotte. Flew down to NC, put her in the car, and we drove to The Promised Land. It was something that both she and I will remember for a long time. Sort of a Springsteen "Field of Dreams. Anyway, in a time when it just takes obscene lyrics, breast implants and/or bubble gum to make it in the music business, it was great seeing true rock and roll (the mystery, the ministry) in action, selling out arenas in minutes. Thanks everybody for sharing these memories and stories with me..

Hello,Dennis.Your site is really nice.I just wanted to say a great thanx to that man called Bruce Springsteen.Thanx for everything that he has done for me so far although he doesn't even know who I am.I am from Greece,I've never seen him on stage, maybe I never will(cause I don't have the money for a hyperatlantic trip to America)but I know that his music will always be there for me.If there is a possibility that he reads this,I want to say thanx for all those special moments, all those feelings and thoughts ,all those dreams he has leaded me to.Be fine...

<With a tear in my eye> I grew up on the music of Bruce. My mother used to play his songs over and over...we would "roll down the windows and let the wind blow back our hair"...cry and sing and forget the troubles of the world. For many years I wished for nothing more than to see The Boss in concert. In April of 2000, after almost 2 years of first hearing of his 1999 tour and praying that I would have the chance to see him, I finally got my wish. I must say that NOTHING has ever made me feel as many emotions as I did that night in Louisville, Kentucky...to not only hear the strength of his voice, but to see how he truely loves his band members and audience made me feel like the only person in the arena. I remember seeing signs in the hall close to the concession stands that said alcohol will not be served after a certain time...I even heard a few people say that it was a request of His. Now if that doesn't say something for the love he has for his fans, nothing does. All I can say is that Bruce Springsteen is, has been, and always will be "my hero".

This page is a very good source of Bruce talk. What makes him stand up from all the rest
is his capacity to tell all these stories before each song. That's what I missed in this
tour, his talking. The Tom Joad tour was great in that sense, so intimate.
Keep up the good work

I just want to say that Mr Springsteen is the best. He is "THE BOSS" in every way! His stories at stage is so great. I love to hear him talk and know that it is true. That makes you feel like you know him, and as one of his bandmembers once said "When Bruce is on stage, it´s Bruce, his is like that" or something like that. I love him for what he is, a human being. So last night, i had the priviledge to witness both passion and immense talent meshed into one brilliant musician. While i stood in amaze at his vibrance and his moving performance, I couldn't help but identify him with artists that have that unique style of bridging the gap between contemporary and classical music, similar to Bruce. I want to learn more about you , i have listened to you since I was a baby. You are ultimately the best singer .I am now 23 years old , and would like to someday meet you, but I am sure this is not possible. I own 23 of your CD's and I am trying to find more. If you would please write back to me. I know you are probably a very busy man, but it would be greatly appreciated. My e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Please write back. Thankyou

Wow! This is such an interesting web site! Great job with it! By the way, recently I have been listening to John Waite's new CD "Figure in a Landscape" and it is fantastic! His voice is awesome, and he sings from the heart the way Springsteen does. You'll love his music! Check out his official web site at www.johnwaite.com
